East Gaston loses defensive coordinator

MOUNT HOLLY - East Gaston has lost defensive coordinator Anthony Timmons, who took the head football coaching job at East Montgomery.

Timmons had coached at East Gaston one season under head coach Eric Tippett. He replaces Kenneth Neal, who resigned after one season and a 7-5 record.

Timmons, who played outside linebacker at Winston-Salem State, coached at North Davidson and Forbush before going to East Gaston.
