Mustangs seventh in Wachovia Cup 2A
Comments 0 | Recommend 0East Lincoln placed seventh in the final 2007-08 Wachovia Cup Standings for Class 2A.
The Wachovia Cup award recognizes the high schools that perform the best across all sports. Points are based on performance in state championship events. All schools that finish in the top eight positions (plus ties) earn points.
No local school other than East Lincoln placed in the top 15 in its classification, although nearby Shelby took second in Class 2A with a state championship in boys track, a tie for third in girls soccer and a fourth-place finish in boys golf.
