Jordan was named the state champion at the event; however, after an appeal by Mallard Creek to the Department of Public Instruction, the disqualification in the 4x400-meter relay was overturned, and Jordan and Mallard Creek were named co-state champions. Had the DQ not been issued, Mallard Creek would have won the state championship outright.
