Madeline Hill led the way as the Cuthbertson Cavaliers won their first team and individual Women’s Cross Country State Championships. Cuthbertson pushed past Chapel Hill 47-68 in the team competition, placing four runners in the top 15 of the team event. The Cavaliers averaged 18:59.27 to Chapel Hill’s 19:26.56. Hill led the way for Cuthbertson, crossing the line in 18:11.52 to win the individual title as a sophomore. Teammate Leah Helms finished in third, second in the team event, posting a time of 18:19.22. Kaitlyn St. Hilaire was the third best Cavalier at 14thoverall and 19:17.93.
