Bishop McGuinness swept Roxboro Community 5-0 to win its third Women’s Dual Team championship and first since 2015. The 2024 1A Singles Champion Lucia Neves was the first on the board on Saturday as she won her match 6-0, 6-0. She was named the Most Valuable Player of the championship. Sarah Pulliam won her match 6-0, 6-1, and Lily Winters won the match 6-2, 6-0. The Villains finished the year 19-1, while Roxboro finished the season 13-1. The NCHSAA is committed to recognizing outstanding sportsmanship in each of our State Championship events. The Association has partnered with the North Carolina Farm Bureau to award a pair of Sportsmanship Awards at each championship event, recognizing players who have demonstrated the ideals of outstanding character and sportsmanship throughout the 2024 season.
